PURPLE REIGN....

In human color psychology, purple is also associated with royalty and nobility (stemming from classical antiquity when Tyrian Purple was only affordable to the elites). Purple has become a big part in my closet, mainly because of how it plays on my skin tone, and also, its a kolor that alot of men are scare of kinda like the pink epidemic. Some kommon konnotations for the kolor purple-royalty,imperialism,friendship,sharing,wisdom,sympathy,sophistication. The kolor is so major, that at one point in time it was one of the top movies in the world(the color purple) and it also is in relation to a very popular cognac(crown royal) which komes in a purple krush velvet pouch. So,i figure that i would seach the web for pics of guys in this kolor of a higher supreme,so that you will know how to incorporate it into your wardrobe....

NEW AGE SPREZZATURA:LUCA RUBINACCI

Known for being the son of the famous tailor Mariano Rubinacci, Luca has really became a man of his own.He knows the rules he is breaking and does care, even though it make look carefree. I am still in amazement of how he can have so many beautifully present outfits worn at once, yet never seems to cross the line into a "i got dress in the dark" outfit or as we say in the south a hot a$$ mess.I would step out to say that he does not see his style choices as out of the ordinary, as some would see them, but instead as necessary accessories to complete the outfit and thats what its all about doing you. "Pure Sprezzatura, edgy, modern, perfectly tailored, classic with a twist. May we all own our style as well as Luca Rubinacci does."-Dandy Fashioner

A BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER: BROOKS BROTHERS BLACK FLEECE KOLLECTION

Thom Browne is the first guest designer invited by Brooks Brothers to create a new collection under the auspices of the new design laboratory. The company plans to introduce other guest designers in coming seasons.According to Mr. Del Vecchio, "Thom Browne's brilliant eye, his ability to foreshadow the market and offer a special look will bring a new dimension to Brooks Brothers."For Spring/Summer 2010, Thom Browne drew the focus back to his idea of the Iconic American sensibility as interpreted through quintessential Brooks Brothers fabrics such as cotton seersucker, cotton Madras plaid, and summer weight wools. Browne also introduced a reinterpreted archive fabric with nautical theme print of anchors and rope. Here are a kouple of my favorite looks from the kollection.........

MEN OF THE HOUR GOES TO: ROBOT & BRUCLING

Robot&Brucling is a brand of original artistry; couture designs dreamt wildly, then refined into RTW [ready-to-wear] pieces.  History, art, and poise direct the brands image and designs. Established in 2009, designers "Robot" and "Brucling" are the sole founders of their label. As jokes at separate points in time, the designers adopted their nicknames given by friends due to their quirky characteristics and personalities.  Creating bow ties made by their own hands from start to finish, these self taught bow tie pioneers began selling their products on their official website www.robotandbrucling.com at the end of March 2010. Most tastes can be met with the 11 piece collection ranging from $35 for the basic raw denim "Chelsea" bow tie, to the $125 grand dame, Lady "Vienna". Hailing from boston, the duo have really redefined a true gents favorite. Just looking at most of the bowtie pieces, the majority of them deserve to be in a glass case as kollectables. I love seeing a past time great being brought back to life. Yes i kan truly say that the future of bowties is already here and is meant for the man or woman that doesnt mind taking that risk and loves to make a statement with their accessory game.

BACK TO THE FUTURE: THE TWEED/LINEN BLEND SUIT

I RECIEVED THIS SUIT TODAY FROM A LITTLE OLD KOUPLE THAT I HAVE BEEN GREAT FRIENDS WITH FOR 3YEARS.THEY ALWAYS HAVE DIFFERENT KLOTHING ITEMS TO GIVE ME WHEN I SEE THEM. THE FIRST THING I NOTICE ABOUT THE SUIT WAS THE CLOTH AND I HAD TO KNOW THE SIGNIFICANCE OF IT AND THE TIME IT KAME FROM. IT WAS HER HUSBAND'S AND WAS ONE OF HIS FAVORITE SUITS THAT HE PURCHASE ON VACATION IN HAVANA. SHE STATED,"DURING THIS TIME THE TWEED/LINEN BLEND WAS VERY POPULAR, IT WAS LIKE YOU GOT THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS WITH THE CLOTH, IT WAS LIGHT AND BREATHABLE ENOUGH TO WEAR DURING A HOT SUMMER DAY, AND ALSO COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO WEAR ON THOSE BREEZY NIGHTS ON THE BEACH." HE REALLY CHERISH THIS SUIT, AND I KNOW THAT HE WOULD BE GLAD THAT I GAVE IT TO SOMEONE THAT WILL TRULY APPRECIATE IT.SO BEFORE WEAR ALOT OF WORK WILL BE DONE TO IT.FROM THOSE UBER WIDE LAPELS TO THOSE WTH! BELLBOTTOM PANTS, AND TAPERING OF THE SIDES, BUT WHEN IM DONE, IT WILL PROBABLY BEKOME ONE OF MY FAVS.THAT'S WHAT I LOVE SO MUCH ABOUT VINTAGE WEAR, ITS SO EASY TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE AND ENJOY AS MUCH AS THE PREVIOUS OWNER......
